Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Italian BFUG Secretariat I am glad to invite you all to join the 2020 EHEA Rome Ministerial Conference, that will take place for the first time in virtual format and will be viewable by all thanks to the live streaming of the event which will start at 9:00 (CET) on 19 November.
You can follow the conference on the 2020 EHEA Ministerial Conference website https://ehea2020rome.it.
The conference will be accessible via live streaming without the need for registration or log in, and is available in 6 languages: Italian, English, French, German, Russian and Spanish.
The Conference proceedings will be opened by the Italian Minister for Universities and Research, Prof. Gaetano Manfredi, and by the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, followed by the participation of all EHEA Ministers and Consultative Members of the process.
During the Conference, EHEA Ministers will adopt the Rome Ministerial Communiqué, a fundamental document which will give indications on the next ten years of work of the entire European Higher Education Area, which will stress the need to improve the implementation of fundamental values, especially democracy, since the principles behind higher education convey notions of peace and freedom.
In the afternoon, there will be speeches from the major international organisations operating globally in the Higher Education sector, in order to promote a global dialogue between the EHEA and other Regions in the world.
