Facilities for students with disabilities

Powiślański University, thanks to the implementation of the project entitled “Accessible and Barrier-Free Powiślański University”, offers the following facilities for people with disabilities:

•     an office for people with disabilities with a disability assistant

•     adjustment of entrance thresholds to teaching classrooms

•     seats for people with disabilities in classrooms with adjustment of their width

•     handrail overlays – tactile Braille information overlays

•     screens for the visually impaired or visually impaired – in front of each lecture room + library

•     reading devices of the Auto-Lektor Braille type

•     augmented keyboard with backlighting

•     braille printer BookMaker

•     mobile student application in a version adapted to the needs of people with disabilities

•     adaptation of teaching materials, including transcription of print into braille writing

•     multifunctional device for the blind type IBAI with Acapella voices

•     audio programs such as ZoomText; MagReader

•     one-handed computer keyboard

•     electronic magnifiers for the visually impaired

•     flash drive recorder

•     desktop/portable enlargers

•     customized toilet with motion sensor lighting

•     caterpillar stairclimber and wheelchair stair lift
