Yes. Powiślański University co-operates with Hospitals around and outside Gdańsk that upon agreement and meeting other requirements accept student to receive professional medical practice. Professional practice (Internship) should start during the 2nd semester. 

For a student to be able to start the Internship training it is mandatory to first meet the following: 

  • Submit to the Dean’s Office proof of Hepatitis B (HBV) vaccination in 3 doses;
  • Medical examination certificate done by Occupational doctor on a premises of Poland;
  • Submit Sanitary certificate obtained at a District Epidemiological Station;
  • Submit proof of a current health insurance purchased specifically for Internship purposes;
  • Submit handwritten and signed declaration for each subject of Internship schedule;
  • Submit police clearance obtained at a District Court in Gdańsk;

*All expenses related to organizing admission to Internships are the responsibility of the student. 

Obtaining medical uniforms as well as safety footwear are a solely student’s responsibility.

Scholarship programme opens annually per every academic year. You could apply for the scholarship if you completed at least two semesters (one year), you haven’t complete previous year of studies conditionally and you if you haven’t benefited with scholarship from any other source. 

Criteria of receiving scholarship are high academic performance, achievements in chosen scientific field and grade avarage not less than 4,8, calculated in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Powiślański University. 

If you fail at least one subject, you can complete the semester under condition that you will correct it during two future semesters. You can pass the semester if you fail no more than 8 subjects/modules per semester, if: 

  • you do not have any backlogs from previous semesters;
  • you did not pass due to unforeseen circumstances;
  • your backlogs allow you to continue your studies and can be cleared out in a timely manner, no longer than 1 academic year;
  • you have less than 8 failing modules.

Correcting each failed module is a subject to payment in accordance with your financial agreement. 

Yes, it is, but only after you have completed the first year of studies successfully. 

Yes. At the Powiślański University you will be able to borrow up to 4 titles at a time for period of one month from our stationary library in Gdańsk. We also offer on-line medical data base, articles, free e-books and links to on-line libraries. E-mail contact to our library and book data base is available at the Dean’s Office. 

Academic year usually begin between September and October in winter semester and between February and March in summer semester. Schedule is being published no later than two weeks before planned classes. Link to the schedule is sent from the Dean’s Office at student’s university e-mail address. School’s address will be shared in the very first e-mail when receiving your acceptance letter. 

Student ID is issued for every student within 30 days after arrival to the Dean’s Office (if a correct passport photograph on white background is uploaded to your Virtual Dean’s Office Profile). 

Both e-mail address and physical address of the Dean’s Office will be sent to you together with your acceptance letter via e-mail message.
